Top Brazilian source UOL Esporte understand that Paris Saint-Germain are working on a potential deal to bring Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante to the French capital next summer.
This should raise concerns for the club’s supporters with Sportbuzzer also claiming that the 27-year-old is the Ligue 1 leaders’ number one target.
UOL’s report states that PSG are seeking a replacement for Thiago Motta who is set to leave the Parc des Princes when his contract expires on 30 June, listing Kante and Monaco’s Fabinho as players they are keen on.
With the date set for the departure of 35-year-old Motta, PSG are now on the hunt for a replacement making their intentions clear that Kante and Fabinho are high on their agenda.
The French giants have already begun work on their attempts to acquire Kante who is valued at 60 million euros.
His valuation could prove an issue for PSG – who consider this to be very expensive which could deter them from fully pursuing a deal for the two-time Premier League winner.
Entering his second year of Premier League football, Kante has been consistently one of the best midfielders in the league helping both Leicester and Chelsea to the title in consecutive seasons.
However, this season the Blues have faltered and look set to miss out on Champions League football, which could impact Kante’s desires of remaining at Stamford Bridge.
Deal for Fabinho
The Brazilian midfielder, who has been strongly linked with a move to both Manchester clubs, is another player that is high on PSG’s list of targets.
The report from UOL claims that last summer, PSG had a deal in place to sign Fabinho, however, due to FFP rules, they eventually opted against a move.
This summer, however, they look set to revive their interest in a player whose versatility makes him an appealing proposition.
