Chelsea vs Man City
On Sunday at Wembley, Chelsea take onMan City in the Community Shield.
The match is the tradiotional curtain raiser a week before the start of the new Premier League season.
Man City won the Premier League last year. The Sky Blues finished 19 points clear of Man United.
As for Chelsea, they finished in fifth meaning the Blues missed out on qualifying for the Champions League.
Chelsea did win the FA Cup, however, after the beat Man United in the final.
Maurizio Sarri: Chelsea’s 4-3-3
The Community Shield may be the first time many Chelsea fans get to see Maurizio Sarri in action on the touchline.
Antonio Conte has been sacked by the Blues after two years in the hot seat.
Conte revolutionised Chelsea in his first season when the Italian went from a back four to a back five with marauding wing-backs.
However Sarri is poised to change Chelsea’s system once again.
The Blues may well play a 4-3-3 system this year, while a midfield three of Jorginho, N’Golo Kante and one of Cec Fabregas or Ross Barkley.
Chelsea likely XI vs Man City
When considering how Chelsea may line up against Man City, Fabregas is set to miss out after he sustained an injury in a friendly with Arsenal.
Several other Chelsea stars will miss the Man City game too. Willian, Thiabut Courtois, Eden Hazard, Michy Batshuayi, Gary Cahill, N’golo Kante and Olivier Giroud will miss out after the World Cup.
17-year-old Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to be given another chance to impress.
