Chelsea & Man United latest clubs linked with move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Arsenal & Aubameyang

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been on Arsenal’s books since January of 2018.

The former Borussia Dortmund hitman has been a pivotal member of Arsenal’s squad since making the switch to England.

The Gabon international marked his first full season in the Premier League by netting 22 goals, earning him the 2018/19 Golden Boot.

Aubameyang had been in similarly impressive form this term before the season was halted, netting 17 and assisting one in 26 league ties.

However, with Aubameyang having less than 18 months left on his current deal with Arsenal, questions have been raised over the forward’s future at the Emirates.

Goal reported earlier this month that Arsenal are keeping tabs on Gent forward Jonathan David, as they prepare for the possibility of losing at least one of their two main strikers in the upcoming window.

The Daily Mail also recently reported that Aubameyang’s £300,000-a-week wage demands are likely to force Arsenal to sell him this summer.

Chelsea & Man United linked with Aubameyang

One of the clubs most heavily linked with Arsenal’s top scorer has been Spanish powerhouse FC Barcelona.

But with the summer window fast approaching, it seems a number of other top clubs are also showing an interest in Aubameyang.

The Sun reported recently that Manchester United are ‘circling around’ the Arsenal forward, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eyeing a £50m move.

The same report from the Sun also claims that Arsenal officials have accepted the fact that their star striker will not sign a new deal and, as a result, they would prefer to cash in on him.

And the Sun have now, on Friday, published a further report, in which they cite 90min, who claim that Chelsea have also entered the race for Aubameyang.
