Chelsea & Liverpool stars dominate Alan Shearer’s Premier League Team of the Week

Chelsea & Liverpool stars dominate Alan Shearer’s Premier League Team of the Week

Alan Shearer has named his Premier League Team of the Week for week four of the 2021/22 Premier League season.

Gameweek four

Another action-packed set of Premier League fixtures played out over the course of the weekend.

The first game of week four would see Crystal Palace host Tottenham. Spurs headed into the game as clear favourites after picking up maximum points from their opening three PL games of the season.

However, Palace caused a rather large upset and would beat the Lilywhites 3-0 to pick up their first win of the campaign.

Then, in the 3pm kick-offs, Wolves beat Watford 2-0, Brighton edged past Brentford, Arsenal saw off Norwich for their first win of the campaign, Manchester United hammered Newcastle 4-1 with some help from Cristiano Ronaldo, Southampton drew with West Ham and Leicester City lost 1-0 vs Manchester City.

Saturday’s Premier League action was then rounded out by Chelsea smashing Aston Villa 3-0.

There was then just one Premier League tie on Sunday, which saw Leeds fall to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool.

The week’s PL action then drew to a close on Monday evening as Everton beat Burnley 3-1.

Alan Shearer’s Premier League TOTW

Now, as mentioned above, Alana Shearer has named his Premier League Team of the Week.

And, not too surprisingly, it is Chelsea who dominate the TOTW, with Edouard Mendy, Mateo Kovacic and Romelu Lukaku all in the eleven.

Crystal Palace, Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United stars make up the rest of the team, which can be seen below:
