CSKA Moscow standout
Fedor Chalov is a product of CSKA Moscow’s youth system.
The now 21-year-old has already racked up 108 appearances across all competitions for CSKA’s first-team.
In those games, Chalov has found the back of the net 35 times, and provided 19 assists.
The centre-forward has also had a solid start to the current campaign, netting five and assisting four in 16 league ties.
Chalov is under contract with CSKA Moscow until June 2022.
And it now seems as though the young forward is attracting some interest from the Premier League.
According to Sky Sports News, Chelsea are interested in a January move for Chalov, should they be allowed to conduct transfer business.
The Blues are currently in the midst of a two-window transfer ban, which means that, as things stand, they can’t sign anyone in the upcoming winter window:
The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned the English club Chelsea FC and The Football Association for breaches relating to the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18. Read more on @FIFAcom https://t.co/iTpcozM7Mz

However, Chelsea have recently appealed said ban, with Sky claiming that they will find out in mid-December whether their appeal against UEFA’s punishment is successful.
And should Chelsea be successful in their appeal, Sky are alleging that the London outfit are willing to enter the market in January.
With an ageing Olivier Giroud being handed restricted playing time, and with the Frenchman’s contract up in the summer, perhaps Chelsea are eyeing Chalov as a replacement for the former Arsenal man.
