Chelsea want Hysaj in January window
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Chelsea are in talks with Napoli over a potential deal for the Serie A side’s main right-back, Elseid Hysaj.
Hysaj joined Napoli in August of 2015 from fellow Italian side Empoli for a fee of around £4.5 million.
Hysaj has gone on to play 151 games across all competitions for Napoli, in which he has assisted six.

The defender has played 16 games this season so far for Napoli, in which he has assisted one.
Maurizio Sarri has already poached Jorginho from his former club and according to the report from Calciomercato, Chelsea and Napoli had a ’gentleman’s agreement’ in place for Sarri not to poach any more players from his former club.
However, now Chelsea may face a transfer ban after an investigation into the club signing under-18 foreign players was launched, Chelsea are said to be ignoring that agreement as they scramble to bring in some new players this January.
Sarri is also said to be a big fan of Hysaj who is rumoured to cost the Blues around £44m.
In Sarri’s last season Hysaj played 47 games in all competitions for the now Chelsea boss.
David Zappacosta replacement?
If Hysaj does move to Chelsea, he would likely replace David Zappacosta.
Zappacosta has played 43 games for Chelsea, in which he has scored three and assisted two.
Despite this, the Italian has never been able to hold down a regular starting spot at Stamford Bridge.
Zappacosta is having a similar problem under Sarri with the full-back making just two Premier League appearances this season, totalling just 18 minutes.
As a result, Zappacosta may wish to leave Chelsea to find regular first-team football sooner rather than later.
