Mohamed Salah

Chelsea fans take aim at Mo Salah with racist chant ahead of Slavia Prague clash

A small section of Chelsea supporters have this evening been filmed racially abusing Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, ahead of the meeting between the clubs this weekend.

Liverpool vs Chelsea

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are set to welcome Chelsea to Anfield on Sunday evening, in a crucial matchup in the race for both the Premier League title, and a spot in next season’s Champions League.

Liverpool’s comeback win over Southampton last Friday saw the Merseysiders reclaim leadership of the English top-flight table, in an increasingly-tense title fight with champions Manchester City.

Their latest outing, in the Champions League versus Porto on Tuesday night, meanwhile, saw Klopp’s men take one step towards the semi-finals of Europe’s elite club competition, courtesy of a 2-0 victory.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have also enjoyed an improved run of form of late.

On the back of a deserved 2-0 defeat to Everton ahead of the international break, the capital giants have since gone on to rack up a trio of consecutive victories, over Cardiff, Brighton and West Ham respectively.

As such, as things stand, Maurizio Sarri’s men sit above fellow top-4 contenders Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United in 3rd in the Premier League table.

Salah targeted

Ahead of their visit to Anfield on Sunday, though, Chelsea will first get their Europa League campaign back underway tonight, versus Slavia Prague.

As such, the Blues’ faithful have travelled to the Czech Republic in numbers in anticipation of the clash.

And, as outlined above, one small section of Chelsea’s fans have used their trip to the Czech capital as an opportunity to needlessly take aim at Mohamed Salah.

In footage garnering widespread attention across social media, the travelling supporters of the Londoners can be heard chanting:

‘Salah is a bomber’
