Chelsea fans fume at MOTD for omitting a horror foul v Stoke

Stoke 0 – Chelsea 4

Chelsea made sure to stay close to Manchesters United and City on Saturday with a superb win at Stoke.

Stoke, of course, had already beaten Arsenal and taken two points off Man United at the Bet365 Stadium this season.

However Chelsea had few problems rolling over the Potters to seal their sixth win in seven unbeaten matches.

Alvaro Morata was the Chelsea hero with a hat-trick, while Pedro Rodriguez also got on the scoresheet.

Peter Crouch v Cesc Fabregas

Should Stoke have finished the Chelsea game with ten men?

In the 89th minute, with the game already over, Stoke’s Peter Crouch committed a horrible foul on Cesc Fabgreas.

Crouch tried to use his large frame to win a slide tackle against Chelsea’s Spanish star.

But the Stoke forward failed to win the ball, and instead he studded Cesc in the leg.

It was a nasty looking foul which could have caused serious damage on the Blues midfielder.

Crouch was booked, but should it have been a red card?

Chelsea fans v MOTD

Not only were Chelsea fans left fuming at Crouch, they were also angry with BBC’s Match of the Day.

That’s because the highlights show failed to show the Crouch foul in their Saturday night highlights package.

Last week, lest we forget, David Luiz was sent off off for a similar sort of challenge against Arsenal.
