Chelsea fans react to seeing Tottenham leave their top four hopes in tatters

Top four

Chelsea fans knew going into the crunch game against Tottenham Hotspur that a win would see them right back in the race for a top four spot.

However, despite taking the lead, the Blues managed to lose, and see the gap become even bigger between themselves and the top four.

Now, a place in next season’s Europa League awaits, and the fans weren’t happy about it – at all. They noted that key players failed to show up for the game – Eden Hazard once again went missing for long periods and Victor Moses was one mistake after another – and it cost the Blues big time.

Dele Alli stepped up to not only put Spurs ahead, but to secure the win, and Chelsea fans were furious at that and their manager, who many people think already has one eye on returning to Italy in the summer and leaving the club after making it clear how unhappy he is repeatedly, and even claiming he doesn’t know where he will be managing come next season.

Conte’s future aside, the Blues will be playing in the Europa League next season – and that fact was compounded by the fact it was London rivals Spurs who beat them – and ended their hoodoo against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge to boot.
