Diego Costa ‘never understood’ Chelsea skipper John Terry

Costa makes a joke

Chelsea legend John Terry may have announced his retirement from the game, but his former colleagues aren’t letting him get away without a fuss.

Terry looks set to go into management, and carry on being a huge figure in football.

However, before that happens, people are focusing on his playing days.

One former Chelsea player, Diego Costa, issued a great tribute to him on Instagram.

“Congrats on your fantastic and successful career. Thank you for all you’ve done for me during my years at @chelseafc (although I couldn’t understand a single word you said to me).

“I wish you all the best in this new chapter of your life. Thanks ‘My Capitation’ hahahaha.”

Chelsea Alvaro Morata

Things have not been easy for Chelsea since the departure of Diego Costa.

The man they got in to replace him, Alvaro Morata, has failed to shine.

Costa could be relied upon to score key goals and lead the line.

However, Morata is a shadow of that up top.

He toils against the good sides, and only managed to scrape goals against Vidi and Southampton after missing sitters.

It’s safe to say Costa has been missed at the club since leaving, and Chelsea  are yet to replace his goals.
