Antonio Conte set to take Chelsea to court

Conte to court

Chelsea are about to be taken to court.

Former manager Antonio Conte has two separate cases that his lawyers are working on.

His legal team are currently progressing with firstly an employment tribunal and secondly a case with Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) according to Sky Sports.

The Italian thinks he is owed the rest of his salary out of respect.

Conte was sacked by Chelsea this summer after a terrible season.

Conte is looking for a claim totalling £20 million.

Chelsea want to settle out of court, but their former manager is refusing face-to-face talks.

The Blues have their own issues with Conte, namely his behaviour towards Diego Costa, parking in the wrong space in the training ground and failing to turn up to sponsorship events. In addition, he was late to several press conferences.

This season’s fortunes

This season, Chelsea have been flying.

Maurizio Sarri seems to be exactly what the club needed.

Not only are they unbeaten so far this season, but they’re also playing great football.

The club are desperate to get Eden Hazard to stay at the club.

Under Conte that may have been far harder to do. Now, under Sarri, it seems far more likely.

Hazard has made it clear how happy he is about the new role he has, and his goal return certainly shows that.
