Man City vs Chelsea
Saturday’s late Premier League kick-off should be an entertaining clash.
Frank Lampard will take his in-form Chelsea side to the Etihad, as they look to make it seven league wins in a row.
The Blues’ emphatic start to the campaign has seen them move up to 3rd in the English top-flight, level on points with 2nd placed Leicester.
They are also nine points clear of 5th placed Sheffield United.
As for Manchester City, they are 4th in the PL, after losing their last league tie vs table-topping Liverpool.
With City already nine points adrift of Liverpool, they can’t really afford to slip up on Saturday.
Lampard on CHO & Pulisic
Frank Lampard spoke to the media on Friday afternoon, ahead of the City trip.
When speaking in his pre-match press conference, Lampard gave updates on Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Pulisic was dealing with a hip problem after Chelsea’s last victory vs Crystal Palace.
But Lampard has since confirmed that Pulisic has returned to training this week, and is in contention for a spot vs City.
As for Hudson-Odoi, Lampard stated that the young winger has a hamstring issue, which he picked up on international duty with England:
Lampard reports that Christian Pulisic returned to training this midweek and is in contention for a place tomorrow. Callum Hudson-Odoi has a hamstring issue picked up with England so there is a question mark over his participation.
