Antonio Conte smiling post Arsenal win

Chelsea boss Conte admits outcast will get a chance to impress soon

The chance will come

Chelsea starlet Charly Musonda will be handed a chance to impress in the first team if his manager thinks he deserves it.

That’s according to Conte himself, who said that while the player will not feature tomorrow, he will play for the kids against Man City.

Musonda returned from a loan spell with Real Betis in January and has struggled to break into the first team since.

Conte said: “He is not in the squad for tomorrow.

“He’s working very hard and working very well in the training session but also needs supplementary work with the physical coach.

“He’s working very well, he’ll play with the U23s tomorrow because they have a good game against Manchester City.

“For now, it’s better for him to play another game and then in the next games, if he deserves to come with us I’m open to this eventuality yes.”

No chances for the kids

Despite bringing Nathan Ake back from his loan spell, the versatile starlet has not featured for Chelsea, nor has Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Dom Solanke is also looking to leave the club, albeit for mainly financial reasons.

It’s just another example of Chelsea having a huge amount of talented young stars, and not being able to give them a chance.
