Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has commented on Real Madrid’s interest ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
Los Blancos remain intent on bringing the Belgian to the Santiago Bernabeu as they look to form their new-look side.
Hazard: “I am only thinking about that…”
The 28-year-old claims that no clubs are currently lining up to gain his signature and that his focus is on Chelsea.
The Belgian is eager to finish the season strong and is hoping to win the Europa League again with the Blues.
“At the moment there’s nobody waiting for me.
“We still have 2 important months with Chelsea.
“We can win the Europa League.
“We have to win the Europa League or we have to finish in the top four to play in the Champions League.
“I am only thinking about that, not about what might happen in 2, 3, 4 months. I don’t know. We will see.”
There are two major factors which could affect whether Hazard leaves Stamford Bridge this summer.
Firstly, Hazard will have just a year left on his contract in the summer potentially forcing Chelsea to cash in.
However, the Blues are set to be hit with a two-window transfer ban meaning they will be unable to sign a replacement.
With that in mind, Chelsea may opt to keep hold of Hazard and allow him to leave at the end of his contract.
