Tottenham 1 – Juventus 2
Tottenham’s Champions League campaign ended on Wednesday night at Wembley.
Juventus, the finalists in two of the last three UCL showpieces, dumped Spurs out the competition with two goals in three minutes.
Heung-Min Son gave Tottenham the lead in the 39th minute as the Bianconeri has been under the cosh throughout the first half.
But Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala scored two quick-fire goals just after the hour to turn the tie on it’s head.
Max Allegri, tactical genius
After the match, many were quick to hail Max Allegri for his tactical switch against Spurs.
On the hour mark, trailing 1-0 to Spurs, Allegri made two changes. Kwadwo Asamoah replaced Blaise Matuidi and Stephan Lichtsteiner came on for Medhi Benatia.
Those changes also saw Juve switch to a 4-4-2 formation, in which they attack Spurs from the wings.
Less than 10 minutes after the double substitution, Juve had scored twice.

Allegri spoke to Jan Aage Fjortoft after the Tottenham game, and the Juventus boss was asked why he’s been learning English.
In recent transfer rumours in the English press, Allegri has been linked with a move to Arsenal or Chelsea.
So is Allegri preparing for a career in the Premier League? The Juventus boss replied:
No, because I have a contract until 2020!
Allegri was also asked which team he’d like to face in the next round of the Champions League.
The Juve manager replied that he doesn’t care as long as it’s not Barcelona.
The only team I don’t want is Barcelona. Because every year, Barcelona, Barcelona, Barcelona. Now stop!
