Crystal Palace in crisis?
After three rounds of the new Premier League season, nothing seems to be going right for Crystal Palace.
Frank De Boer’s reign in the Palace dugout has started incredibly badly.
The writing was on the wall in the summer, when De Boer announced he wanted the Eagles to change their style into a ball-playing team.
Then Huddersfield won 3-0 at Selhurst Park on the opening day of the season.
A 1-0 defeat at Liverpool briefly raised hopes the Eagles might be on the right track. But last weekend’s 2-0 home defeat to Swansea had left Palce pointless and goalless.
Frank De Boer is now being tipped for the sack.
Sam Allardyce & Palace
The Times on Tuesday have dropped an exclusive: Crystal Palace may re-sign Sam Allardyce to be their manager.
That would be a major shock, as Big Sam revealed when he left the post last summer than he needed time away from the game. Nevertheless, the Times report:
Crystal Palace are considering trying to persuade Sam Allardyce to return as manager if they part company with Frank de Boer.
Roy Hodgson, who has not managed a club since departing as England manager after their elimination from Euro 2016, and Slavisa Jokanovic, of Fulham, are also being considered by Palace, who have previously looked at the pair.

Liverpool’s Mamadou Sakho
Aside from dealing with their managerial problems, Crystal Palace are also trying to do business in the final days of the transfer window.
And once again, links to Liverpool’s Mamadou Sakho are doing the rounds.
Sakho has no future at Liverpool, while he excelled at Palace last season during his loan spell from Anfield.
According to the Times, Frank De Boer is “hopeful that the club could re-sign Mamadou Sakho” before August 31.
Liverpol have been holding out for 30 million pounds for Sakho, but the Reds are likely to have to soften their stance.
