Cesc Fabregas dropped again

Cesc Fabregas is having to get used to the bench this season, as that’s where he’s been spending most of his time during Chelsea’s games.

5 games into the season, Cesc is yet to start a game for Chelsea, and was benched once again last night for the home game against Liverpool.

He had just 26 minutes of game time to his name before last night, and having come on with just 6 minutes remaining last night, he now has just over half an hour of football after 6 games played.

For a player who was so crucial to Chelsea’s title-winning season in 2014/15, this must be tough for Cesc to deal with.

Thanks the fans on Twitter

Cesc took to Twitter this morning to reflect on the Chelsea defeat, and thank the fans for all the love he’s receiving.

The Catalan took a lot of stick during Chesea’s crisis-hit season last term, but it looks like the tide of feeling is coming back his way, with a majority of fans calling on Conte to restore him to the team.

And given how poorly new signing N’Golo Kante played against Liverpool last night, Cesc’ chance could be coming.

He’s been impressive in some of his late cameos, notably at Watford, when he sprung from the bench to lay on the winning goal.

It looks like Conte may be forced to start Cesc some time soon, and it looks like Cesc is ready to seize the chance.
