Cesc Fabregas names the Arsenal duo currently impressing him the most

Arsenal make it eight unbeaten

Arsenal dispatched Leeds United 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night to advance to the quarter finals of the Carabao Cup, and make it eight unbeaten for the Gunners in the process.

After a dull first half, goals from Calum Chambers and Eddie Nketiah proved enough to seal their progression into the next round of the competition, for which the draw is set to be made on Saturday morning.

The situation that Arsenal now find themselves in is a far cry from the hopelessness felt after three games of the season, when they were rooted to the foot of the Premier League table, and had just been hammered 5-0 by Manchester City at the Etihad stadium.

While still only 10th in the Premier League, the Gunners have gone 8 games unbeaten in all competitions, and are recovering from their awful start as they now sit just three points outside of the top-4. A win against Leicester this weekend would do them the world of good in kicking on towards Europe.

Fabregas hails impressive pair

During a twitter Q&A, former Gunner Cesc Fabregas today revealed who he feels the two most impressive Arsenal players have been this season. The Spaniard spent 8 years in north London, after breaking through as a youth, and went on to make 304 appearances, netting on 58 occasions. Clearly then, he knows a thing or two about playing for the Arsenal.

And it was another young pair whom Fabregas was quick to highlight, in the form of Hale End duo Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe, when asked who he has most enjoyed watching play in red and white this season.

Both Saka and Smith Rowe have come in for massive praise in recent weeks and months, with it yet a further testament to their abilities that one of their idols now recognises such efforts, too.
