Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has this afternoon provided updates on the fitness of a number of key members of his squad, on the back of the club’s win over Leicester.
The Toffees made the trip to the King Power Stadium on Wednesday night, for a testing meeting with the in-form Foxes.
Everton headed into proceedings with their tails up, having brought to an end a dismal recent run with a 1-0 downing of Chelsea.
And, when all was said and done 48 hours ago, the upturn enjoyed by Ancelotti’s outfit moved up another notch.
An impressive display eventually saw Everton depart the King Power with a 2-0 victory, courtesy of goals from Richarlison and Mason Holgate.
Their latest result guides the Merseysiders to 5th in the Premier League table, just a point adrift of the Champions League spots.

An otherwise positive evening for Everton on Wednesday, however, was soured somewhat by the emergence of a pair of concerns on the personnel front.
First, shortly before the interval, midfielder Allan was stretchered off in evident pain, with a hamstring injury.
In turn, speaking in a press conference ahead of his side’s meeting with Arsenal tomorrow, Carlo Ancelotti was this afternoon inevitably drawn on the Brazilian’s wellbeing.
The news, though, was far from positive from a Toffees perspective, with Ancelotti having confirmed that his side’s in-form midfielder is set to play no part versus Mikel Arteta’s men:
‘Had a problem on his hamstring. We don’t know how long it will be. We don’t know how many games.’
The other Everton star to have picked up a problem against Leicester was Richarlison, though the attacker, who found the net at the King Power, is expected to feature from the off versus Arsenal:
‘No problem’, Ancelotti simply replied when drawn on Richarlison’s wrist issue.
Another of the Merseysiders’ star men who will miss out on Saturday, though, is James Rodriguez.
The Colombian is continuing to struggle with a calf problem:
‘We have games every three days! He misses three games because there is three games in a week,’ explained the Everton boss.
‘It is a problem with his calf. Nothing special.’
Last up was an update on the fitness of Seamus Coleman, with Ancelotti having confirmed that his side’s captain is in line to make his comeback in a little over 24 hours’ time:
‘The most important thing is Seamus and Mason are fit to play, Seamus has a strong desire to play. After that I have to choose the line-up.’
