Carlo Ancelotti confirms that Dominic Calvert-Lewin & Allan have returned ahead of Liverpool

Carlo Ancelotti confirms that Dominic Calvert-Lewin & Allan have returned ahead of Liverpool

Liverpool vs Everton

Saturday’s most high-profile Premier League clash will see Liverpool and Everton go head-to-head in the final Merseyside derby of the season.

Everton, of course, have a pretty dire recent record in this fixture.

Carlo Ancelotti has managed to guide the Toffees to draws in the previous two meetings between the sides. However, Everton have not picked up a single win against Liverpool in any competition since 2010.

If the Blues are going to get one over on their bitter rivals, though, tomorrow’s clash will likely mark their best chance for a while.

Liverpool of course impressed during the week, in a Champions League win over RB Leipzig.

However, there’s no denying that Jurgen Klopp’s side are still nowhere near their best at present.

The Reds have slipped down to 6th in the Premier League table, after losing three of their last five league outings.

Everton are also in slightly patchy form as things stand, but could overtake Liverpool in the table should they avoid defeat on Saturday, and go on to win their game in hand.

Carlo Ancelotti on Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Allan

Ahead of the derby clash, meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti held his latest press conference on Friday.

During the presser, the Italian provided a team news update.

And in a major boost for Everton, Ancelotti confirmed that both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Allan are back available for selection.

Yerry Mina and Jean-Philippe Gbamin are the only Toffees stars to have been ruled out.
