The Premier League returns on Friday evening, with another game that has ramifications for those battling it out for the European places.

Everton, who sit in 8th, welcome 7th-placed Spurs to Goodison Park, with only two points separating the sides. Both teams will be looking to put last weekend’s results behind them.

Speaking to the press in his pre-match conference this afternoon, Carlo Ancelotti provided an update on the availability of several members of his squad.

The Italian confirmed that Jordan Pickford, Allan, Joshua King and Andre Gomes are all back from injury, and available for the game.

He also noted that Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Yerry Mina, Fabian Delph and Bernard are expected to return for Everton’s trip to Arsenal next weekend.

Abdoulaye Doucoure remains on the injured list, whilst Jean-Philippe Gbamin is out for the season.

Ahead of tomorrow’s clash, Ancelotti is aware of how vital it is that his team pick up maximum points. Whilst they haven’t yet given up hope of reaching the top four, the Toffees know it won’t be easy.

“All the eight games are vital,” he said, “We have to play against teams who are fighting with us for the position. The other games aren’t less important.”

“It will be an open game. They (Tottenham) need points and we need points. They could score but we could score also. It is unpredictable to say what could happen.”

“The absence of Dominic (Calvert-Lewin) is important but up front we have options. We have done well without him in some games.”

Ancelotti also spoke on Everton’s disappointing recent performances, assuring that his side are ready to fight for Europe until the last game.
