Jenkinson, headed for Arsenal exit
Despite signing for Arsenal as a 19-year-old and working his way into the first team, it seems Carl Jenkinson has never received too much love from the Arsenal fans.
He’s had to go out on loan to West Ham twice to earn his stripes and develop as a player, but now that he’s come back as a more matured and improved player, Jenkinson is seemingly finding it tougher than ever to please Gooners.
With Hector Bellerin getting injured, Wenger was forced to thrust Jenkinson into a starting role ahead of schedule – he has had a litany of injury problems, and Wenger would have preferred to gradually nurse him back into action.
But Jenko had to play by default, and he really struggled, and it seems that was his final shot to prove himself; he’s headed for the exit by all accounts.
Move to Palace…off
A move to Crystal Palace has been in the offing for a couple of weeks now, and it seemed as though the the deal was starting to take shape…
only for it to fall through.
It looks like Jenko will still be leaving in this window, but it won’t be to Selhurst Park.
Carl Jenkinson's move to Crystal Palace is OFF. He's still keen to move but it won't be to Palace. More on @MirrorFootball
