According to Football London, “the teenager has reportedly been penciled in to take part in the Blues’ U23 game against Brighton on Friday in order to make the next step in his recovery.”
That news has been corroborated by The Athletic’s Simon Johnson.
Has already been reported elsewhere, but been led to believe that #HudsonOdoi is planning to make his long-awaited return from Achilles tendon injury in #cfc‘s development squad game against Brighton at Stamford Bridge on Friday night. Reece James has also stepped up training.

Simon Johnson also noted that “Reece James has also stepped up training.”
James, like Hudson-Odoi, has been pictured in Chelsea first-team training.
It’s unclear whether James will also be involved in the under-23 match at the weekend.
However, Football London have claimed that James could make his comeback on “September 25th, the date of the Blues’ third round League Cup tie”.
