Burnley were screwed by a terrible call vs Watford
Watford 0 – Burnley 0
Watford and Burnley played out a 0-0 draw at Vicarage Road on Saturday in the Premier League.
On a day in which goals were flying in in the top flight, this was the only fixture that remained goalless.
The result left Watford seventh in the league with 33 points. The Hornets are 11 points behind sixth-placed Man United.
As for Burnley, they are fifth bottom of the division with 22 points.
Burnley are three points above Cardiff, who sit in the relegation zone.
Chris Woods offside goal vs Watford
Burnley could have won the match against Watford.
Deep into second half injury time, Burnley had the ball in the back of the net.
Chris Woods slipped the ball into the Watford goal after Ben Foster had parried a shot from Dwight McNeil.

However the goal was chalked off as Woods was adjudged to have been offside.

But that was the wrong call. As shown by TV replays, Woods was onside when McNeil had his effort on target.
It was a terrible call from the linesman as Jose Holebas was clearly keeping Woods onside.

Sean Dyche on VAR
Cue another another of conversations about VAR.
Burnley manager Sean Dyche advocated for the introduction of the technology in his post Watford presser.
Of course, VAR will be in use in the Premier League next season.
