Good for Burnley: Bad Mohamed Salah news after the Leicester game

Liverpool 2 – Leicester 1

Mohamed Salah’s incredible season continued on Saturday against Leicester.

The Egyptian flyer moved up to 17 Premier League goals after he scored a match winning double for Liverpool.

And Salah’s goals were critical as Leicester took the lead at Anfield.

Jamie Vardy’s amazing record against the top six continued early doors on Saturday when a mistake in the home defence gifted the Foxes an opener.

In the second half Mohamed Salah found his shooting boots.

An incredible backheel assist from Sadio Mane teed up Liverpool’s top scorer for the leveller.

Salah found the net in the 76th minute to turn the scoreline on it’s head after yet another backheel assist – this time from James Milner.

Mohamed Salah is injured

But after the Leicester match Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Mohamed Salah picked up a knock towards the end of the game.

Salah was replaced by Georginio Wijnaldum with seven minutes remaining in the match.

The north African star had trouble walking as he left the pitch, and Klopp said:

(Salah) was limping at the end, and that’s never a good sign. We will have to see what the problem is and what he can do for the next game.

Burnley vs Liverpool

Next up for Liverpool is an away trip to Burnley on Monday.

It seems hugely doubtful that Salah will be in the Liverpool XI at Turf Moor.

Burnley will also have selection problems against the Reds.

Stephen Ward is expected to miss out again with a knee injury. Chris Wood and Robbie Brady also have knee problems.

Tom Heaton is a long-term absentee.

Burnley drew 0-0 at Huddersfield on Saturday.
