Bubble burst: Big name departure close at West Ham

Turkish club Besiktas are close to completing the signing of West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez, according to Goal.

The Mexican forward has failed to make an impact at the London Stadium and David Moyes is willing to offload the player.

The Hammers are understood to have reached an agreement with the Turkish Süper Lig side of €8.5 m for Hernandez.

Come to Besiktas!

Hernandez looks set to come to Besiktas, ending a nightmare spell back in the Premier League.

The two clubs have agreed on a fee for the player and he is now close to leaving for Turkey.

mnachster united were understood to be keen on bringing the player back to Old Trafford, although that now looks unlikely.

Failed move

Hernandez has had a less than fruitful second spell in England since his £16m move from Bayer Leverkusen just six months ago.

Chicharito has netted just four times for the Hammers this season in 21 appearances.

Seven of his last eight appearances have been off the bench, showing that he has failed to impress Moyes in East London.

Meanwhile, while the 28-year-old has been struggling, the team have vastly improved with West Ham moving well clear of the bottom three, thanks hugely to Marko Arnautovic.

The Austrian has taken Hernandez’s starting spot and has seriously impressed in recent games.
