Bruno Fernandes tops Alexander-Arnold as Man United star's PL leading stats revealed after Leeds

A head-turning statistic, highlighting the stellar creative exploits of Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes, has come to the fore on Monday evening.

The stat in question of course comes fresh off the back of the Portuguese's latest starring performance on Sunday, as United got the better of bitter rivals Leeds at Elland Road.

Fernandes, for his part, chipped in with both a goal and an assist, to guide the Red Devils to all three points courtesy of a deserved 4-2 triumph.

And such production only added to the goal netted by the former Sporting CP star in his prior outing, when Bruno rounded out the scoring in a 2-0 triumph over Brighton to carry forth a much-improved recent spell of form.

In turn, it should perhaps not come as all that much of a surprise to hear of an altogether eye-opening stat, highlighting the Portuguese's Premier League-leading exploits in teeing up his teammates, coming to the fore on Monday evening.

As revealed across social media, despite regular criticism across the campaign to date, no player has created more chances than Fernandes in the English top-flight in 2021/22.

The 27-year-old sits a full nine clear of 2nd-placed Trent Alexander-Arnold, a testament to the Manchester United star's at times underappreciated brilliance.

Atleti lie in wait

All associated with the Red Devils, in turn, will no doubt be hopeful of Bruno carrying his best into the club's next outing on Wednesday night.

This comes with Ralf Rangnick's troops set to kick the club's European campaign back into gear in a Champions League Last-16 showdown with Spanish champions Atletico Madrid.

Los Rojiblancos, much like their upcoming opponents, will head into the action in a little less than 48 hours' time on the back of a much-needed victory last time out, when Atleti made short work of Osasuna en route to a 3-0 final scoreline.
