A stunning goal has been scored in tonight’s crunch U21 matchup between Spain and Portugal at the European Championships.
The strike, coming courtesy of Portuguese winger Bruma, was just one of a number of highlights from a thoroughly entertaining affair.
With his side sitting a goal behind their illustrious opponents with a little over half an hour to go, Portuguese boss Rui Jorge called on recently-signed RB Leipzig winger Bruma to add a little creativity and flair to his side’s attack.
Unfortunately for the Portugal boss, his side soon went 2-0 down thanks to a strike from soon-to-be Everton striker Sandro Ramirez.
However, the coach’s decision to opt for Bruma off his bench soon paid off, with the 22-year-old’s sumptuous volley pulling his side well and truly back into the game.
Although Spain ran out eventual 3-1 winners, this strike will no doubt live long in the memory for the Portuguese youngster…
