Watford v Brighton
It’s been a tough start to the Premier League season for Brighton.
Man City won 2-0 at the Amex Stadium on matchday one, while Brighton lost 2-0 at Leicester last weekend.
This Saturday Chris Hughton’s side travel to Watford, who have started the season in fine form.
With Marco Silva now in the dugout, Watford remain unbeaten in the league. They drew 3-3 with Liverpool in their Premier League opener, and they won 2-0 at Bournemouth last time out.
Brighton’s major boost
Ahead of this weekend’s fixture at Vicarage Road, Brighton have received a boost.
Brighton have announced that the club’s record signing Jose Izquierdo has now received international clearance.
To be clear, Izquierdo is available for selection to make his Premier League bow against the Hornets.
The 25-year-old Colombian international winger recently completed his £13.5 million move from Club Brugge.
A pacy customer with an eye for goal, Izquierdo has netted an extremely impressive 34 goals in 84 appearances for Brugges, proving one of the star performers in the Belgian top-flight for several years now.
In addition, he made his bow for Colombia this past June, appearing in a pair of matchups with Spain and Cameroon, the latter of whom he opened his international account against.
In other Brighton team news, Beram Kayal will again be out of contention for the Watford game, while Brighton have doubts over Izzy Brown, Glenn Murray and Steve Sidwell.
