Brighton vs Norwich betting tips: Premier League match preview & predictions

Brighton vs Norwich prediction: Brighton 2-0 Norwich

Brighton will be looking to move into the top half of the table with another victory at home.

Graham Potter’s side have only lost one of their five matches at the Amex this season.

Norwich have failed to win any of their previous five matches but a win would almost certainly lift them out of the relegation zone.

Brighton vs Norwich: Who will win?

Brighton are 8/11 favourites to win the match while a Norwich win is priced at 10/3. The draw can be backed at 16/5.

Brighton failed to score a single goal away from home in any competition since the opening day of the season. Bet on a Brighton clean sheet at 7/4.

Aaron Connolly netted twice in Brighton’s 3-0 home win over Spurs in October. Connolly is 11/2 to open the scoring and 8/5 to score anytime in the match.

Brighton vs Norwich Premier League match preview

Brighton host Norwich at the Amex Stadium on Saturday in matchweek 11 of the Premier League.

Brighton required a 94th-minute own goal from Lucas Digne to come away with all three points against Everton last weekend. Pascal Gross and Neal Maupay were also on target in the 3-2 home win.

Despite the victory, Brighton remain 12th in the league table. Depending on other results, another victory on Saturday could propel them as high as 6th.

The Seagulls have now won back-to-back home matches in the Premier League for the first time since October 2018. The last time they won three Premier League home matches in a row was in March 2018.

Brighton could do with three points as their next four matches are against Man United (away), Leicester, Liverpool (away) and Arsenal (away).

Norwich remain 19th in the table following their 3-1 defeat at home to Manchester United last Sunday. Substitute Onel Hernandez came off the bench to score a late consolation for the home side.

Norwich held Bournemouth to a 0-0 draw in their last away outing. Norwich have not kept successive top-flight away clean sheets since December 2013.

No side has won fewer points away from home this season than Norwich (1). The Canaries have also scored the fewest number of goals on the road (1).

These two sides have never faced each other in the Premier League. Norwich won 2-0 when the sides last met in the Championship in April 2017.

Brighton team news vs Norwich

Graham Potter will be hesitant to make too many changes following last weekend’s win over Everton.

Aaron Mooy comes back into contention after serving a one-match suspension for the red card he received against Aston Villa. Mooy will compete with 21-year-old Steven Alzate for a starting berth in midfield.

Teenager Aaron Connolly is expected to continue up front following an impressive run of form.

Yves Bissouma and Solly March were unused substitutes last weekend and will be hoping for some minutes off the bench.

Jose Izquierdo and Bernardo are both sidelined with knee injuries.

Norwich team news vs Brighton

Daniel Farke is sweating over the fitness of Ibrahim Amadou after he picked up an injury against Manchester United. Amadou, who is on loan for the season from Sevilla, tried to play on through the injury, which may have caused him more damage.

With Christoph Zimmermann (ankle), Timm Klose (knee) and Grant Hanley (groin) all sidelined, Ben Godfrey could be Norwich’s only fit centre-back.

Having only recently recovered from a back complaint, Tim Krul picked up a knock during his man-of-the-match display against United. The Dutch shot-stopper is receiving treatment but should be able to start on Saturday. Krul spent the 2017/18 season on loan at Brighton but was limited to cup appearances.

Northern Irish goalkeeper Michael McGovern is the would-be deputy for Krul, with Ralf Fahrmann still recovering from a groin injury.

Jamal Lewis is a minor doubt due to illness but is expected to start at left-back. Sam Byram is another option in that position.

Onel Hernandez could be handed a start in place of Todd Cantwell. The Cuban winger came off the bench to score last weekend.

Saturday will come too soon for Mario Vrancic, who is working his way back to full fitness following a calf injury.
