Burnley vs Leicester
Sunday’s early Premier League kick-off saw Burnley and Leicester go head-to-head.
Both sides headed into the tie in fairly poor form.
The Clarets began the day 15th in the English top-flight, just two points clear of the relegation zone.
Burnley had also been handed four defeats in their previous four league outings before kicking off at Turf Moor on Sunday.
As for Leicester, while their recent form hasn’t been quite as dire as Burnley’s, the Foxes had dipped off somewhat in previous weeks.
Brendan Rodgers’ side had lost three of their last five league games, with their small hopes of mounting a title challenge looking all but over.
Rodgers on Chilwell
Leicester would release their matchday squad around an hour before kick-off on Sunday.
Perhaps the most noticeable omission from the Foxes’ squad to take on Burnley was Ben Chilwell.

Chilwell has been Leicester’s first-choice left-back this term, making 18 PL appearances. So, his complete omission vs Burnley did seem a bit odd.
However, prior to the Burnley tie, Brendan Rodgers would provide an update on the absent Chilwell.
The Leicester boss stated that Chilwell was unavailable for some training this week, with Rodgers also highlighting the number of games that the defender has played this campaign.
Rodgers then said that he hopes Chilwell, who travelled with the squad to Burnley, is available for Wednesday’s game:
“Ben’s played an awful lot of games this season with international games and this week as well, he was unavailable for some training.
“He’s travelled with us, he’s with the squad and we hope he’s available for Wednesday’s game.” As quoted by the Leicester Mercury.
