Leicester into FA Cup quarter-finals
Leicester City have booked their place in the 2019/20 FA Cup quarter-finals.
The Foxes played host to Championship side Birmingham City in a 5th round clash at the King Power on Wednesday evening.
Birmingham have been a fairly tough nut to crack in England’s second division of late, and that once again proved to be the case for Leicester.
Brendan Rodgers’ side had to wait until the 82nd minute to find a breakthrough on Wednesday. But they were then able to hold onto that lead for the remainder of the tie.
Leicester are now set to play host to fellow Premier League high-flyers Chelsea in the last eight.

Rodgers on Vardy ahead of Aston Villa
Leicester hitman Jamie Vardy was once again absent for the Foxes on Wednesday.
Vardy has now missed Leicester’s last two games across all competitions.
However, the Englishman looks set to return for Leicester’s next clash vs Aston Villa.
When speaking about Vardy after Birmingham, Brendan Rodgers stated that he will train on Friday, and then be available for the game on Monday:
“We play Monday so he’ll train on Friday and he will be back available for Monday.”
The Leicester boss also spoke about Wilfred Ndidi, who has recently returned from injury, and managed 60 minutes on Wednesday:
“He’s a huge player, and our squad, we don’t have the depth to miss that level of player.
“A lot of the guys that come in, they contribute so well, but when you have one of the best ball-winners in the Premier League out for a period of time, of course you miss him.
“The plan was to give him an hour, get some game-time into his legs, and it was great to see him out there.”
