Brendan Rodgers confirms Jamie Vardy could return for Leicester vs Wolves

Brendan Rodgers confirms Jamie Vardy could return for Leicester vs Wolves

Fulham vs Leicester

Leicester face a trip to Fulham on Wednesday, as they look to bounce back from a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Leeds United over the weekend.

This defeat, coupled with Liverpool’s win over West Ham, saw the Foxes slip down to 4th in the Premier League table, five points adrift of leaders Manchester City, who also boast a game in hand.

So, Brendan Rodgers and co. will no doubt be keen to return to winning ways this week, against a relegation-battling Fulham.

Scott Parker’s side have improved in recent weeks, but remain seriously struggling for wins.

In fact, Fulham have picked up just two victories from 20 league outings this term.

Brendan Rodgers provides Vardy update

Ahead of Wednesday’s clash, meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers held his latest press conference on Monday.

During the presser, the Norther Irishman provided updates on two of Leicester’s key performers.

Jamie Vardy and Wilfred Ndidi have of course proven crucial to the Foxes’ success in recent years, but both missed out versus Leeds due to injury problems.

And the pair also look set to sit out in midweek vs Fulham, with Rodgers having confirmed on Monday that he expects Vardy to instead be in with a shot of returning at the weekend, with Ndidi following the hitman shortly after:

“We’re anticipating Jamie (Vardy) could be back at the weekend, and we’re hoping Wilf (Ndidi) won’t be too far behind him.”
