Bournemouth dealt injury blow ahead of Crystal Palace

Bournemouth were this afternoon dealt a blow on the injury front, during the Cherries’ Premier League clash with Watford.

The two sides went head to head at Vicarage Road, having come into proceedings level in 10th in the English top-flight table with 36 points.

An entertaining affair at Vicarage Road saw Kiko Femenia hand hosts Watford the lead inside the opening quarter of an hour, before Josh King levelled up from the penalty spot just before half-time.

What looked to have been the crucial goal of the game came 4 minutes following the interval, as Roberto Pereyra’s deflected strike put the hosts back in front.

But Eddie Howe’s visitors were not to be denied a point, as veteran Jermain Defoe latched on to Nathan Ake’s header in injury-time to grab a hard-earned point for the Cherries.

However, an otherwise positive day for Bournemouth was soured ever-so-slightly by an injury to the in-form Junior Stanislas, who was forced off just before the half-time whistle to be replaced by Marc Pugh:

The seriousness of his problem is yet to be established.
