Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc has commented on rumours linking Jadon Sancho to Manchester United.
The 19-year-old has proven himself to be one of the best teenage players in the world with his performances in the Bundesliga.
Sancho has subsequently been linked with a return to the Premier League this summer, but here’s why Zorc claims that won’t happen.
Zorc on Sancho: “His transfer would be difficult even for the biggest clubs”
BVB’s sporting director claims that reported talks with United “have no relevance” because Sancho will not leave the club this summer.
Reports claimed the Red Devils had held talks with Sancho’s camp over a possible move.
However, Zorc neither has any knowledge of this happening or any worries over the player’s future.
Zorc told BILD:
“I have no knowledge of it, but it has no relevance.”
The sporting director also claims that a move will be tough for any club in the world.
Whilst he did leave the door open to an eventual move away, Sancho’s short-term future is with Dortmund.
“I’m far from putting a price tag on Jadon.
“But I say: his transfer would be difficult even for the biggest clubs in the world at the moment.
“Jadon will play for Borussia Dortmund next season.
“He certainly will not play until his retirement in Dortmund. That is also true.”
