Borussia Dortmund CEO speaks about Man United-linked Sancho: ‘Our favourite idea is that Jadon will stay with us’

Man United linked with Sancho

Barring Kylian Mbappe, Jadon Sancho is arguably the hottest young prospect in Europe right now.

Since departing Manchester City in 2017, Sancho has gone on to become a pivotal member of Borussia Dortmund’s frontline.

Despite only turning 20 less than a week ago, Sancho has nearly garnered a century of appearances for BVB.

Sancho was in fine form last term, but this campaign has been simply outstanding from the England international.

In 23 league ties this season, Sancho has netted 14 and assisted 16.

Sancho, unsurprisingly, has been linked with a host of top clubs in recent months.

The former Man City man looks to be attracting a fair bit of interest from the English top-flight, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool all linked.

Dortmund CEO hoping to keep Sancho

Out of all of the clubs linked with Sancho, though, it appears to be Man United who have shown the most interest.

The Evening Standard reported earlier this week that the Red Devils are leading the race for the Dortmund standout.

But it doesn’t sound like Dortmund will give Sancho up without a fight.

In a recent interview, Borussia Dortmund’s CEO stated that their ‘favourite idea’ was that Sancho will stay with the club.

The CEO also sent somewhat of a transfer warning to any potentially interested parties, claiming that BVB don’t have to sell anyone bellow value:

“We said before Corona that our favourite idea is that Jadon will stay with us. I can clearly say that even the very rich clubs, despite the existential crisis, do not have to believe that they can go on a bargain tour with us. We don’t have to sell anyone below value.” As quoted by BILD.
