Boost for Man City: Arsenal trio confirmed to miss the clash

Unfortunate for Arsene

While the odds already looked to be stacked against Arsenal ahead of their game with Manchester City, they have been dealt another blow.

That is because Danny Welbeck, David Ospina and Shkodran Mustafi are all very likely to miss the game according to Arsene Wenger.

The trio may not set the world alight in the squad but they certainly offer different options for the side and will be a blow ahead of the weekends game.

Speaking in his pre-weekend press conference, Wenger explained that the trio are closing in on returns but the game on Sunday will come too early.

“We have to be a bit more patient. Normally all three should be available after the break,” the Arsenal boss explained.

That will certainly not help Wenger’s side who will be looking to stop Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in their tracks.

The team are the only side to still have a 100% record and at the moment look to be the obvious favourites for the Premier League title.

The mesmerising football that they are playing will be difficult for Arsenal but they will be hoping to cause the upset of the weekend.

Santi Cazorla update

One player who knows a thing or two about updates is Arsenal star Santi Cazorla.

The Spaniard’s time on the pitch has been severely limited in recent years due to an ankle injury which has plagued his Arsenal career.
