Espanyol 1 – Barcelona 1
Barcelona dropped two points in the Spanish top flight on Sunday.
That’s after Ernesto Valverde’s side were held to a 1-1 by rivals Espanyol in the Catalan derby.
Gerard Moreno fired Espanyol ahead with a header in the 66th minute. But Pique, who was booed throughout the contest, equalised for Barcelona with eight minutes to go.
Interestingly, Leo Messi was left on the bench for the Espanyol game at kick-off as the Argentine was given a bit of a breather.
