Bookies slash odds on shock Antonio Conte replacement at Chelsea

Will West Brom see off another Chelsea manager?

Two previous Chelsea managers have managed their last games against West Brom.

On Monday night, Chelsea host West Brom at Stamford Bridge, with the Blues needing a win for the top four battle.

After losing successive matches to Bournemouth and Watford, Chelsea cannot afford a defeat (or even a draw) in this Premier League match.

Marco Silva emerges as shock replacement for Antonio Conte

Ladbrokes reckon already have Antonio Conte’s replacement lined up, with odds of him leaving being shorter than ever.

The bookies have this morning slashed the odds of Marco Silva taking over at Stamford Bridge from 50/1 to just 8/1 – meaning he’s by far the biggest mover since the market opened last week.

Conte is a 1/6 shot in the Premier League Sack Race, a price which has fallen from 12/1 six weeks ago.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “It’s a case of when and not if Chelsea send Conte packing now, and punters reckon a shock replacement is being lined up in the shape of Silva.”

As can be seen below, whilst Silva is a big mover, he is still only sixth favourite to get the Chelsea job.

If Chelsea do fail to win on Monday night it should be a fascinating few days with Chelsea facing such a tough fixture list.
