Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy is a major doubt to face Fulham on Wednesday due to a groin injury, according to the Telegraph.
Claude Puel has hinted that the 31-year-old may require surgery due to the niggling injury.
Vardy previously struggled with a groin problem at the start of the year and the same issue has returned during training.
Puel: “He felt something and we will discuss with the medical staff”
The Foxes travel to Craven Cottage on Wednesday to take on former manager Claudio Ranieri.
The Italian famously guided the Midlands club to the Premier League title in 2015, but was sacked just nine months later.
Missing from the clash will be Jamie Vardy who could be replaced by Kelechi Iheanacho.
The club’s manager Puel has admitted that he has a few injury concerns ahead of tomorrow’s trip.
Harry Maguire and Rachid Ghezzal are doubts for the game.
“I don’t know my starting team because I have problems with different players.
“I cannot say the player with the problem but I cannot know my starting players in two days.
“He felt something and we will discuss with the medical staff.”
When asked whether the forward would require surgery, he added:
“I don’t know. It is a balance to know his feeling.
“Tomorrow will be another day. It will be for Jamie and other players to see how they feel.
“I don’t know who will be available for this important game.
“Other players must be ready in their minds to play and replace another team-mate.”
