Manchester United have received a big transfer blow after one of their top targets from the summer window signs a new deal with their club.
That will come in the form of Ivan Perisic who has signed a new deal until 2020 with Inter Milan.
The Croatian was seen as a top target for Manchester United in the summer window but finding a deal that satisfied Inter was too difficult.
Inter were looking for over £50million to sell the versatile attacker and that was proving too much compared to United’s valuation.
Jose Mourinho consistently specified that his side would need four key signings if they were to compete this season.
Three of those came in, with Nemanja Matic, Victor Lindelöf, and Romelu Lukaku all coming into the club on big money deals.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has also added to that following his new contract renewal which will only boost the club in their attacking options.
Though there is no doubt that losing out on Ivan Perisic may prove a big loss, and it is unlikely they will be able to try again for him in January after signing a new deal.
Plenty more fish in the sea, though.

Zlatan sends warning to Jose Mourinho
It’s been a summer of waiting for both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Manchester United but for different reasons.
Zlatan’s serious ACL injury has kept him out of action since earlier in the year and has been working hard to get back to full fitness.
Manchester United’s waiting has come in the form of attempting to sign the Swedish striker on another short term deal.
There were links between Zlatan and the MLS as well as AC Milan but eventually chose to finish his business at Old Trafford.
Now, the player has sent a warning to his manager Jose Mourinho.
