Considering how transfer fees skyrocketed this summer, the deal for Silva now seems like something of a bargain.

The playmaker told Four Four Two:

At the Confederations Cup I asked Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani about Manchester and they told me how much they enjoyed it here.

He’ll likely feature this Saturday for Pep Guardiola in the home match against Liverpool.

Man City v Liverpool team news

Manchester City fans could see German international midfielder Ilkay Gundogan return for the Liverpool game.

A few weeks ago, Gundogan made his Man City return to the pitch after eight months on the sidelines, coming on as a substitute during a friendly matchup with Girona.

He could now return to Premier League action, but Gundogan is unlikely to start against Liverpool.

While Gundogan’s on his way back, Vincent Kompany may miss the Liverpool game.

Kompany, who has been dogged by injuries throughout his career, picked up a knock on Belgium international duty.

Raheem Sterling will also miss the match through a suspension.

As for Liverpool, they’ve issued bad news regarding first-choice right-back Nathaniel Clyne.

Clyne has been left out of Liverpool’s Champions League squad due to injury. He may be sidelined for several months.

Adam Lallana is also out for Liverpool with a thigh injury.
