Bergkamp’s potential Arsenal return discussed by the BBC

No position

Arsenal would struggle to accommodate Dennis Bergkamp apparently, despite the Dutchman being linked with a return to the Emirates after being sacked by Ajax.

That’s according to pundits on BBC Sport 5 Live, as they think there isn’t an opening for the former Arsenal star under Arsene Wenger at the club – and given Wenger is notorious about losing control when it comes to the running of the club, that’s not really a shocker.

Bergkamp has made it clear that one day he’d like to return to Arsenal, and after being sacked by Ajax and of course his former teammate Marc Overmars, people started to speculate that could well be the case.

In terms of changes, the fans have been calling for the Gunners to freshen up the way the club is run for some time, but Wenger is still the man everything goes through and that does not look like changing for as long as he’s in charge at the club.

The Frenchman may have a two year deal, that he of course signed in the summer, but it doesn’t seem like he’d want to leave even after that, talking about how much he enjoys dealing with the academy and also running the club on a daily basis to boot.

Arsenal fans want to see their club challenge for the title, and many are of the view Wenger is not the man to be able to do that for them, and would like to see him leave – along with the club spending more money and putting themselves in a position to buy the best players on the market.
