West Ham vs Arsenal
Arsenal travel to West Ham on Saturday as they look to vie for a place in the top four.
The Gunners head into the weekend’s games in 5th place, three points off 4th place Chelsea.
Chelsea do have a seven better goal difference than Arsenal but if Unai Emery’s side were to win and Chelsea lose this weekend, they could well finish the weekend in a Champions League spot.
However, Arsenal’s opponents this weekend, West Ham, will be no pushover.
After a slow start to the season the Hammers have finally started to click under Manuel Pellegrini and now sit 10th in the Premier League.
A win for West Ham on Saturday could see them move as high as 7th in the table, if results go their way.
Arsenal injury update
Ahead of the clash with West Ham, Arsenal had a fair few injury problems.
Hector Bellerin has missed Arsenal’s last four league games with a calf problem he picked vs Southampton.
But the Spaniard is now back in full training and could feature at the weekend.
Shkodran Mustafi has also been in and out of the Arsenal side recently due to a hamstring problem.
Like Bellerin, Mustafi has returned to full training this week and could start vs West Ham.
Arsenal fans will also be glad to know Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal, Dinos Mavropanos and Mesut Ozil trained this week.
The Gunners will also, of course, be without Rob Holding and Danny Welbeck for the rest of the season.
Six players back in full training.
Hector Bellerin (calf), Laurent Koscielny (back spasm), Dinos Mavropanos (groin), Shkodran Mustafi (hamstring), Nacho Monreal (hamstring) and Mesut Ozil (knee).
Danny Welbeck (ankle) and Rob Holding (knee) our for the season.#AFC
