Manchester United are no closer to make a bid or a move for Toby Alderweireld, despite the transfer deadline window getting closer and closer to closing.
That’s according to one respected Belgian journalist, who thinks that the Red Devils are certainly taking their time if they are eventually to make a move for the player.
Jose Mourinho has made it very clear that he wants to see a centre back come into the club, with Alderweireld just one of the names mentioned this summer.
By popular demand: any news about Toby Alderweireld to Manchester United? No. No agreement.

The one other name who has been strongly linked with United is of course Harry Maguire, and the player himself has made noises about leaving Leicester City for United and Mourinho.
According to Sky Sources, Leicester City’s Harry Maguire still has a hope of signing for Manchester United before the 5pm BST deadline Thursday night. #MUFC

Sky Sources have even reported that the player is ‘hopeful’ a deal will be done between the two clubs before the deadline on Thursday evening at 5pm.
Should United fail to get a defender in, you can only imagine how Mourinho’s mood will take a turn for the worse.
And given it’s hardly been the most positive throughout the summer, that could well see his time at the club become increasingly difficult, as could a breakdown in his relationship with Ed Woodward.
