Bayern Munich v Borussia Dortmund
It’s already 1-0 to the Bavarians.
Last weekend, Bayern Munich beat Borussia Dortmund in the German Super Cup.
Bayern Munich won a shootout 5-4 against BVB after the match ended 2-2 after 90 minutes.
Marc Bartra missed the decisive spot-kick to allow Bayern to celebrate their sixth Super Cup title.
Keep on pinching
Down the years, Bayern Munich have repeatedly signed the best players from Borussia Dortmund as the Bavarians have dominated the Bundesliga.
In recent times Robert Lewandowski followed Mario Gotze from the Signal Iduna Park to the Allianz Arena.
And on Monday, German news outlet Kicker have reported that Bayern are gearing up for another major move which is set to weakened one of their chief domestic rivals.
Target BVB’s jewel
No. Bayern aren’t looking at signing the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Christian Pulisic.
Instead, having recently seen Stuttgart poach Bayern’s technical director Michael Reschke, the Bavarians are looking at Dortmund’s top scout, Sven Mislintat, to fill that void.
Sven Mislintat is labelled as having a “super eye” for talent.
The 44-year-old,, who has been with BVB since 2007, is credited as being the man who first spotted players including Shinji Kagawa, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Raphael Guerreiro, and Ousmane Dembele.
Kicker note that Mislintat is under contract with Dortmund until 2019.
