Bastian Schweinsteiger has had a roller coaster of a week

The German midfielder ended his international career with Die Manschaft on Wednesday after 121 caps.

The 32 year old has been named in Jose Mourinho’s 25 man Premier League squad despite the “Special One” claiming that it will be “very difficult” for him to play for the club again. (BBC)

And today it was revealed that Schweinsteiger has been left out of Manchester United’s squad for the Europa League.

10 midfielders were named in the squad ahead of “Basti”, leaving many to question why the German stayed at United.
