South Korea 3 – Guinea 0
The under-20 FIFA World Cup has begun in South Korea, and the hosts got off to a perfect start beating Guinea 3-0.
Barcelona’s 19-year-old striker Lee Seung-Woo opened the scoring in the 36th minute, while late goals from Lim Minhyeok and Paik Seungho sealed the victory.
Lee Seung-Woo stars
Lee Seung-Woo has not had the easiest start to his career.
Woo’s career was stunted though when he was banned from playing after Barcelona breached FIFA regulations banning the registration of under-18s.
He was only allowed the start playing with Barcelona again at the beginning of 2016.
In his U20 World Cup debut, Woo scored with a deflected effort, before his laid on the pass for Minhyeok.
Woo’s Barcelona team mate Paik Seungho finished the scoring with a lovely lobbed finish.
