Ansu impresses for Barcelona
Ansu Fati burst onto the Barcelona first-team picture this season.
Despite being just 16 years of age, Ansu is already exhibiting signs that he can become a top-class player.
Ansu made his senior debut for the Catalan giants earlier this season, when Barcelona took on Real Betis.
Ansu would then bag his first goal for Barcelona’s first-team in the ensuing La Liga clash vs CA Osasuna.
The wonderkid continued his solid form when he started vs Valencia, scoring one and assisting one as Barca cruised to an emphatic 5-2 victory.
According to BBC Sport, Fati’s goal contributions vs Valencia meant that he became the youngest player in La Liga history to register a goal and an assist in the same game.
Ansu also made his Champions League debut with Barcelona earlier this campaign, completing 59 minutes in the Blaugrana’s 0-0 draw with Borussia Dortmund.
Ansu earns Spain call-up
Ansu has now been rewarded for his fine start to the 2019/20 season.
Spain’s under-21s are set to take on their Montenegrin counterparts on Tuesday the 15th of October, in a UEFA Euro under-21 qualifying match.
Ansu was not named in the original Spain under-21 squad to face off against Montenegro. But, as confirmed by Spain’s official website, Fati has now been called up to replace Carles Pérez.

The 16-year-old, who was born in Guinea-Bissau, has yet to feature for Spain at any level.
And, as reported by Goal, he only became a Spanish resident last month. FIFA, though, have since cleared him to represent Spain.
