Barca duo set for new deals
Both Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Nelson Semedo have been on Barcelona’s books for several years now.
Ter Stegen would join Barca in 2014 from Borussia Monchengladbach, and has gone on to feature 200 times for Barcelona across all competitions.
In those 200 games, the German has kept 86 clean sheets.
As for Semedo, he made the switch to Barca in 2017, moving from Benfica.
The full-back hasn’t featured as much as ter Stegen, but Semedo has still made a very respectable 92 appearances for the Catalan giants, in which he has scored one and assisted seven.
Both players have proven integral members of Barca’s squad so far this season, featuring in all 10 of their games across all competitions.
Now, according to Spanish outlet AS, the aforementioned duo are set to be given new deals by Barcelona.
AS claim that both ter Stegen and Semedo’s current deals are set to expire in 2022:
Both players are under contract at Barcelona until 2022, but the club is keen to hand them improved deals as to guarantee the futures of two key members of the squad.
